Topeka — Services for Diane M. Roach, 63, of Topeka, will be held at 1p.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel in Topeka.
She died Wednesday, June 22, 2011.
She was born April 20, 1948, in Topeka, the daughter of James Howard and Cecile Rita Gamache Hendricks. She was a 1966 graduate of Hayden High School and attended Washburn University after graduation.
She was a devout Catholic. She enjoyed the beach, and loved having fun and spending time with friends and family. She especially loved her granddaughter, Madeline.
She married Richard D. Hoover in Topeka. He preceded her in death in 1977.
Survivors include her significant other, Jim Maag; two children, Shelly Hoover-Plonk and husband Warren, and Christopher Shawn Hoover; three sisters, Bunny Bolton and husband Sam, Shirley Smith and husband Robin, and Mary Jane Pore and husband Dave; and eight nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
