Gary Rogers Craig

Graveside services for Gary Rogers Craig, 59, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lawrence.
He died Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at his home.
He was born Dec. 31, 1951, in Lawrence, the son of George M. and Vivian E. Patchen Craig. He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1970.
He worked for Lawrence Paper Company for 30 years and later worked for Walmart for four years. He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church and an AFLCIO Union Member. He was also a Boy Scout leader for Troop No. 52.
He married Laura Jane Stevenson in March 1979. They later divorced in November 2006.
Survivors include one son, Brian Andrew and wife Melissa, Lawrence; three grandchildren, Nolan, Dalton and Sean; three brothers, Carl and wife Suzie, Richard Craig and wife Sandy, all of Lawrence; and Ron and wife Helen, Mission, Texas; two sisters, Shirley Craig, Topeka, and Barbara Bryans and husband Dale, Topeka; sister-in-Law, Lois Craig, Manhattan; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister, Margaret Jane Craig; and a brother, George R. “Bob.”
The family will greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.
