Memorial services for Mary Elizabeth Henly, 57, Lawrence, will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2011, in the chapel of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
Ms. Henly died Friday, June 17, 2011, at her daughter’s residence.
She was born October 11, 1953 in Lawrence, Kansas, the daughter of Laverne and Pattie Marie Riley Hicks.
Ms. Henly enjoyed feeding and watching birds, she was an avid gardener, and very much enjoyed spending time with her daughter, grandchildren, family, and friends.
Survivors include a daughter, Kelly Henly; sisters, Laverna Hicks and Pamela S. Turner; brother, Scotty E. Scott; grandchildren, Samantha-Dayl E. Hiesberger, David D. Schumock, Shantele Bowlin Schumock, and Andrew Hiesberger; great-grandchildren, Arianna E. Hiesberger and Kayden J. Bowlin-Schumock; and nephews, Samuel Rodriguez and Joey Gipson.
Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, June 25th, at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials to the Mary Elizabeth Henly Memorial Fund, sent in care of the funeral home, 601 Ind., Lawrence, KS 66044.
