Betty Kerr Allen 1923 - 2011 Tonganoxie
Funeral service for Betty Kerr Allen, 88, Tonganoxie, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Tonganoxie Christian Church.
Mrs. Allen died Monday, June 13, 2011, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 6, 1923, in Morning Sun, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Amanda Casten Kerr.
Mrs. Allen worked as a registered nurse and was a member of the United Methodist Church, Tonganoxie.
She married Ralph D. Allen on Dec. 26, 1944, in Wapello, Iowa. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, Dean Allen and wife Debbie, Tonganoxie; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
The family suggests memorials to the United Methodist Church of Tonganoxie, sent in care of Quisenberry Funeral Home, 604 E. Fourth St., Tonganoxie, KS 66086.
