Justin David Johnston

Justin David Johnston, 16, of McLouth, Kansas was called by our HEAVENLY FATHER on June 2, 2011 while on a Spanish Club educational tour in Costa Rica.
Visitation will be Friday, June 10th, 2011, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Easton, Kansas, from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM, with the family present from 4:00 PM until 7:30 PM, an Army of Christ Youth Rosary will be held at 4:00 PM, and the Parish Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 11 at St. Lawrence Church in Easton, Kansas, with Father Richard McDonald officiating, followed by interment at St. Lawrence Catholic cemetery.
Justin was born March 27, 1995 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.
He was an outgoing and likeable young man that always brightened everyone’s day with his cheerful and friendly personality. He was actively involved with St. Lawrence Church in Easton, Kansas, performing altar and lector activities for the parish, and was active in the Army of Christ, the parish youth group. He had a kind and friendly personality and was well liked by many in the communities of Easton, McLouth, Winchester, Oskaloosa, and Lansing. He was always cheerful and willing to help those needing assistance and did so with his unforgettable smile and charm.
Justin attended Xavier, Lansing, and McLouth Schools. He had just completed his sophomore year of high school and was looking forward to return for his junior year. He was popular with other students, parents, and community members. He was active in school athletics, participating in cross country, power lifting, and baseball.
Justin is survived by: his parents, John and Wendi Johnston; sister Jordyn (14), sister Jenna (11), sister Julia (10), and brother Jonathan (7); Grandparents Robert & Kathryn Johnston (Easton); Grandparents David and Juanita Gwartney (Basehor); Great-Grandparents Donald & Mary Gwartney (Easton); and many uncles, aunts, nephews, and nieces.
Memorials in his name may be directed to the Justin Johnston Memorial Fund.
