Funeral services for SGM Terence William Smith age 50 of Georgetown will be on Thursday July 7, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Comanche Chapel on Ft. Hood. He will be cremated and inurnment will be at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
SGM Smith was born to Charles and Dolores Smith in Milwaukee, WI. on August 22, 1960. He passed away on June 29, 2011 in Houston, Texas. He had been a resident of Georgetown since 2007. He was a Free Mason, member of the Order on the eastern Star and Food Service Executive Association. He was on active duty with the US Army at the time of his death. He had served in Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was awarded the Bronze Star and the Legion of Merit.
He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his wife Kelly Smith of Georgetown, son Nathan Smith of Bloomington, IL, daughter Amy Smith of Bloomington, IL., his mother Dolores Smith of Tonganoxie, KS., and a sister Kandi White and husband Ken of Tonganoxie, KS.
