Darlene Rider Lovelett 1926 - 2011 Eudora
Funeral services for Darlene Rider Lovelett, 84, Eudora, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Eudora United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Eudora Cemetery.
She died Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, at Medicalodges in Eudora.
She was born July 5, 1926 in Polk, Neb., the daughter of John and Anna Bramer Falk. She attended business school in Omaha, Neb.
She was a homemaker and then worked as secretary at the Eudora High School for a number of years, retiring in 1977.
She married Gaylen Rider on Jan. 7, 1949, in Topeka. He preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 1986. She married Elden M. Lovelett on Jan. 1, 1996, in Eudora. He preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 2010.
Survivors include three daughters, Janet Whitenight, Lawrence, Ileen Baer, Junction City, and Christie Bell, Kennedale, Texas; one son, Tony J. Rider, Lansing; five grandchildren, Sonya, Sarah, Sean, Jennifer and Jeffrey; and 11 great grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Warren-McElwain Mortuary-Eudora Chapel. The family suggests memorials to Eudora Methodist Church, sent in care of the mortuary, 1003 John L. Williams Drive, Eudora, KS 66025.
