Jackie (Jack) Jean Annis
Jackie (Jack) Jean Annis, 70, of Perry, KS., died early Monday December 19, 2011 at the Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, KS. He was born in Guthrie, Ok., February 8th 1941, the son of Thomas Newton and Verna May Sumner Annis.
Jack worked for Hamm’s Companies in Perry, KS., Goodyear Tire Company of Topeka as a Janitor, Goodyear of Akron, OH., for 3 Yrs, and Goodyear of Denver, CO., for 10 yrs., he also worked as a tire dealer for Brad Regan Inc., retiring in 2001. He was a member of the Perry United Methodist Church, A Member and Past Master of the Perry Masonic Lodge #415 AF & AM. Jack served in the US Army from 1960- 1963. He married Willa Nadine Vanattan on May 22, 1964 in Miami, OK., She survives of the home.
Other Survivors include one Son, Curtis and wife Stacy Annis, Perry, KS.,a Daughter, Theresa and husband Christopher Jernberg, also of Perry, KS., three Brothers, Michael Annis, Lawrence, KS., Chuck Annis, Topeka, KS., Richard Annis, Perry, KS.,two Sisters, Iva L. Jorgenson, Lecompton, KS., and Mary Jane Easum, Topeka, KS. Five Grandchildren, and two Great Grandchildren.
Services will be 11:00 AM Friday, December 23, at the Perry United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Thursday evening 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Barnett Family Funeral Home, 1220 Walnut (Hwy59) in Oskaloosa, where he will lie in state at the funeral home after 11:00 AM on Thursday. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association or the Perry United Methodist Church Women and sent in care of the Barnett Family Funeral Home, PO Box 602, Oskaloosa, KS., 66066.
