George Arthur Moyer

George Arthur Moyer, 59, Baldwin City, Kansas, passed from this life on Thursday, August 25, 2011, of heart disease.
George was born August 23, 1952, in Denver, Colorado, the son of Edward and Marion (Martin) Moyer. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Edward Moyer, and his sister Beverly Van Lake, both of Denver.
George is survived by his wife Rhiannon (Donna), of the home; stepdaughters Tammy Oliver (Colorado Springs, Colorado), Rhonda Orback (Arvada, Colorado), and Dawn Vandegrift (Lawrence, Kansas); grandchildren Ashlyn Candelaria and Alexandria Orback (Arvada), Brandon and Kaeli Oliver (Colorado Springs), Sage and Zoey Crooks, of the home; and great-granddaughter Karter Candelaria (Arvada). Also surviving are an uncle, Billy Martin, and aunt, Elizabeth “Pat” Hurt (Denver), and numerous nieces and nephews, including Wendi and Brittany Van Lake, Carissa Harrod, and Jon Moyer (all of Denver).
Memorial Services will be held Saturday September 3rd, 2011. at 2:00 p.m. at The Unitarian Fellowship of Lawrence, 1263 North 1100 Road, Lawrence, Kansas, and Wednesday September 7th, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at Foothills Chapel, 1950 Ford Street, Golden, Colorado.
The family suggests memorial donations be sent to Doctors Without Borders or Greenpeace and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
