Doris Opal Churchbaugh

Funeral services for Doris Opal Churchbaugh, 99, Overland Park, formerly of Baldwin City, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Pleasant Grove.
Mrs. Churchbaugh died Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, at Delmar Gardens in Overland Park.
She was born Feb. 10, 1912, in rural Franklin County, the daughter of Charles Albert and Nellie Pearl Allen Myers.
Mrs. Churchbaugh moved to Douglas County in 1934, to Baldwin City in 1993, and spent the past six years at Delmar Gardens in Overland Park. She and her husband farmed in southern Douglas County. She drove a school bus for Willow Springs School from 1958 to 1962.
Mrs. Churchbaugh was a member of Palmyra Family and Community Education and Centropolis Christian Church.
She married Leslie Theodore Churchbaugh on Jan. 10, 1934, and they were married for 63 years. He preceded her in death April 9, 1997.
She was also preceded in death by daughter Vera Flora, her parents, and five brothers.
Survivors include sister Adeline Watts and husband Norman, Centropolis; three grandchildren, Debbie Rogers, Brenda Sweeney and Larry Flora; eight great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday.
