Jerry "Brad" Grant
A remembrance reception for Jerry “Brad” Grant, 57, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge No. 309, 1803 W. Sixth St., Lawrence.
Mr. Grant died Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at his home.
He was born Jan. 3, 1954, in Lawrence, the son of Jesse Mack and Wanda June Martin Grant.
Mr. Grant worked for the city of Lawrence in the water department for 30 years. He retired in January 2009. He recently worked for Transport Truck Sales in Kansas City, Kan.
He married Linda Sue Staus on June 29, 1973, in Lawrence. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Marty, Fort Riley, and Nick, Lawrence; a daughter, Jessica Grant-Helmert, Tonganoxie; five grandchildren, Grace, Dylon, David, Hailey and Justin; his mother, June Grant, Lawrence; three sisters, Linda Faler, Ann Norris and Kelly Otterman; and two brothers, Rick and Mack.
The family suggests memorials to a college fund set up for his grandchildren at Douglas County Bank, sent in care of the bank or Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, 601 Ind., Lawrence, KS 66044.
