Cassidy Taylor Moore, 23 of Baldwin City, KS, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2011.
Cassidy was born July 6, 1987 in Lawrence, KS, to David A. and Mary M. (Madl) Moore Jr. He attended area schools graduating from Baldwin High School with the class of 2006. He went on to attend Johnson County Community College for a few semesters.
While in high school Cassidy excelled in playing basketball and football, where he received the Iron Man award, for football, his senior year. Cassidy was a lifeguard and was referee for youth sports for many years. He was loved by all the young children who came in contact with him.
Cassidy was employed for the past year at Crown Toyota Scion VW Automotive in Lawrence, KS, as a car salesman.
Survivors include his parents David and Mary Moore of Baldwin City, brothers Travis C. and Levi N. Moore, both of Baldwin City; maternal grandparents Alois J. “Bud” and Marcella (Brecheisen) Madl of Baldwin City, KS, and paternal grandparents David A. and Suzy (Taylor) Moore of Shawnee, KS; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at the Annunciation Catholic Church with Ryan Jorgensen speaking. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at the Annunciation Catholic Church with Fr. Brandon Farrar as celebrant. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Baldwin. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Annunciation Catholic Church, where Rev. Lane Bailey will say a few words.
The family suggests expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorials to the Cassidy Taylor Moore Memorial Fund. Memorials my be left at or mailed to Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. 64 of Baldwin City or the Baldwin State Bank.
