Eva Ann Waggoner 1922 - 2011 Lawrence
Funeral services for Eva Ann Waggoner, 89, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Waggoner died Saturday, April 16, 2011, at Medicalodges in Eudora.
She was born April 4, 1922, in Eudora, the daughter of Walter P. and Ella M. Miller Brecheisen.
Mrs. Waggoner worked for the Alumni Association at Kansas University, Weaver’s Department Store and for Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant. After her retirement in 1991, she sold Avon.
Mrs. Waggoner was a member of Lawrence Heights Christian Church and played the organ. She was also a member of Business and Professional Women.
She married James S. Waggoner on Oct. 3, 1942, in Reno. He preceded her in death Oct. 8, 2001.
She was also preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include two sons, Jim Waggoner and wife Dianne, Clay Center, and Rod Waggoner and wife Debi, Lawrence; and two grandsons, Jeffrey Waggoner and Ryan Waggoner.
The family will greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
The family suggests memorials to Crossroads Hospice or to Medicalodges — Eudora Residents Activity Fund, sent in care of the mortuary, 120 W. 13th St., Lawrence, KS 66044.
