Genevieve Lucille Sattler 1934 - 2011 Lawrence
A memorial visitation for Genevieve Lucille Sattler, 76, Lawrence, will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Sattler died Friday, April 15, 2011, at her home.
She was born Nov. 11, 1934, in Strong City, the daughter of Lewis and Nellie Stout Wyatt.
She started her banking career at First National Bank of Lawrence in 1971. She was an assistant vice president of the U.S. Bank, south branch, most of her career. She retired in March 2010 after 39 years of service. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Emporia.
She married Harold L. Sattler on Aug. 12, 1955, in Emporia. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include daughters Renee Renko and husband John, Aurora, Colo., Beverly Edman and husband Von, Lawrence, and Janine Sattler, Overland Park; a son, Kim Sattler and fiancee Veronica Bussinger, Lawrence; seven grandchildren, Sean, Nicole and Hayley Renko, Kelli Dunlap, Matthew Edman, and Taylor and Bailey Bussinger; and a sister, Karen Wilson, Shawnee.
She was preceded in death by a son, Todd Sattler.
The family suggests memorials to the Douglas County Visiting Nurses, Rehabilitation and Hospice Care or to the Lawrence Humane Society, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th St., Lawrence, KS 66044.
