Rev. Lloyd R. Bilhimer 1924 - 2010 Baldwin City
Graveside services for the Rev. Lloyd R. Bilhimer, 86, Baldwin City, were 1 p.m. Monday at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
He died Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010.
Mr. Bilhimer was born Feb. 5, 1924, in Kansas City, Kan., the son of Harold A. and Lena O. Lynn Bilhimer.
He served in the U.S. Navy after graduating from Shawnee Mission High School. He trained in Chicago and was deployed on the Antiweta Cruiser Battleship.
He graduated from Central Bible College in Springfield, Mo., in 1948. He served as a pastor of Assemblies of God in Shawnee, Dodge City, Wichita, Lawrence, Argentine, Baldwin City, McPherson and Dearborn, Mich.
He married Mary Jean Grinter in 1947. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Steve, David and Jim; a daughter, Lisa Pippert; a brother, Glen; a sister, Lois Bear, Shawnee; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Teen Challenge, sent in care of Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee KS 66203.
