Edward P. Harris

Graveside services with Masonic rites for Edward P. Harris, 90, rural Marshall, Mo., formerly of Lawrence, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence.
Mr. Harris died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, at his home.
He was born July 25, 1920, in Lawrence, the son of George W. and Susan McGee Harris.
Mr. Harris farmed and worked for a trucking company before operating the Midland Farm Store in rural Lawrence until his retirement. He raised purebred Simmental cattle.
He was a 51-year member of Acacia Lodge No. 9, A.F.&A.M. in Lawrence. He was also a member and past president of the Eagles Lodge in Lawrence.
He married Noma Jean Steele on April 26, 1950, in Lawrence. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Marc, rural Marshall, Mo., and Karl, Uhrich, Mo.; a daughter, Sherrel Crenshaw, Ottawa; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Neil, Lawrence; and a sister, Nancy Schaffert, Topeka.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, three brothers and a sister.
