Ann M. Richardson Broers 1921 - 2010 Eudora
Funeral services for Ann M. Richardson Broers, 88, Eudora, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday 2010 at the Warren-McElwain Mortuary-Eudora Chapel. Burial will follow at the Eudora Cemetery.
She died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010, at Golden Living in Branson, Mo
She was born Oct. 15, 1921, in Turkey, Texas, the daughter of John and Myrtle Tabor Richardson.
She worked in sales at JC Penney’s and Weaver’s Department Store, and retired in 1987.
Mrs. Broers was a member of the Eudora United Methodist Church, but more recently had attended St. Paul United Church of Christ in Eudora.
She married Homer O. Broers on Oct. 8, 1944 in San Diego. He preceded her in death on June 27, 2009.
She was also preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
Survivors include one brother, Jack Richardson, Arizona; two daughters, Jan Wurtz, Branson, Mo., and Judy Worrells, Woodstock, Ga.; one son, Ted Broers, Longmont, Colo.; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Eudora Chapel.
The family suggests memorials to Breast Cancer Research, Douglas County Senior Services or the Eudora Schools Foundation, sent in care of the mortuary’s Lawrence office, 120 W. 13th St., Lawrence, KS 66044.
