Eugene Ousdahl
Funeral services for Eugene “Gene” Ousdahl, 66, Lawrence, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Ousdahl died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, at his home.
He was born Nov. 10, 1943, in Lawrence, the son of Leo Edwin and Elvia Florence Garner Ousdahl.
Mr. Ousdahl worked at Huxtable and Associates for over 16 years. He retired in November 2009 from Chaney, where he worked as a pipefitter for over 20 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Pipefitters Union No. 441 of Lawrence.
He married Marilyn Blanck on June 7, 1962, in Lawrence. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Darren, Baldwin City, and Chris and wife Deneise, Lawrence; three grandsons, Branden, Reilly and Aaron Ousdahl; and three brothers-in-law, Gary Blanck and John Baldwin, both of Lawrence, and Charles Yates and wife Diana, Tonganoxie.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Gloria Gaston and Judy Baldwin.
The family will meet friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
The family suggests memorials to Douglas County Visiting Nurses, Rehabilitation and Hospice Care or the Lawrence Humane Society, sent in care of the mortuary, 120 W. 13th St., Lawrence, KS 66044.
