Pamela Renee May

The funeral for Pamela Renee May, 66, Groves, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Clayton-Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Cemetery in Port Neches.
Mrs. May died Friday, Nov. 19, 2010, after a battle with cancer.
She was born Dec. 13, 1943, in Ottawa, Kan., the daughter of Jack and Muriel Elaine Lindholm Thomas. She was raised by her grandparents, Walter and Sarah Lindholm in rural Baldwin City, Kan.
She graduated from Baldwin High School and worked for many years as a purchasing agent in the industrial construction business. She and her husband spent several years selling a variety of goods at flea markets and fairs throughout the area.
She married Ralph “Bob” May Sr. on Oct. 27, 1961, in Baldwin City. He survives.
Other survivors include a daughter Lanie Brown and husband Wally, Orange; sons Ralph R. “Hoss” May Jr. and former spouse, Jan May, Groves, and Chad May and fiancee Happy Hardin, Groves; seven grandchildren, Catie Shafer, Laura Brown, Lance Cpl. John A. Brown, Hostin May, Tristan May, Bailey Shugart and Blakely Shugart, and an eighth grandchild due in January, Tolben May; five great-grandchildren, Rhys Howeth, Isaiah Shafer, Asher Shafer, Gracie Brown and Marshall Shafer; Aunt Pat Gilges, Uncle Duaine and Aunt Donnie Lindholm, all of Baldwin City; and several cousins, brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. May was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents; a brother, Ronald L. Thomas Sr.; and a nephew, Ronald L. Thomas Jr.
The family will meet friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
