Ruth C. (Rethemeyer) Keling, 76, of Linwood, KS, passed away Tuesday, November 16th, at Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, MO. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS with burial to follow in Mt. Sidney Cemetery in Linwood, KS. Friends may call at the visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Keling was born Feb. 26, 1934 in St. Joseph, MO, and had lived in the Linwood, KS, area since 1972. She was a graduate of Lafayette High School in St. Joseph, MO and had received her Associate Degree from Northwest Missouri State. She also had received a Paralegal Degree from Johnson County Community College. Her career included a position with the U.S. Attorney General Office in Kansas City, MO; she currently worked for Stinson, Morrison and Hecker Law Firm in Kansas City, MO. She had attended the Methodist Church and was also a past member of the Tonganoxie Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by 5 Sons - Kyle Keling and his wife Vicki of McLouth, KS, Kevin Keling and his wife Pam of Novi, MI, Kirk Keling of St. Joseph, MO, Kurtis Kent Keling and his wife Denise of Overland Park, KS, and Korey Keling and his wife Tessa of Midland, TX; 3 Brothers - Gus Rethemeyer of Hagerstown, MD, and Dean Rethemeyer and Gene Rethemeyer, both of St. Joseph, MO; 1 Sister - Joan Maag of Smithville, MO; 12 Grandchildren; and 5 Great Grandchildren.
