Matthew Scout Adair, 21, of Topeka passed away on November 15, 2010 in Lawrence. He was born June 26, 1989 in Topeka the son of Jeffrey and Elaine (Fithian) Adair. Matthew attended McEachron Elementary, Logan Junior High and Seaman High School. He was a member of the Seaman Golf Team all four years of high school. He attended the University of Kansas. Most recently, Matthew had worked at Kerry Foods in Gardner. He loved playing golf, and enjoyed spending time with his friends and listening to music.
He is survived by his parents, Jeffrey and Elaine Adair of Topeka, his younger brother, Benjamin; his grandparents, Bruce and Charlotte Adair and Nancy Adair, all of Topeka; his Aunt Lee Geary of Topeka; Uncle Charles and wife Lyn Fithian in New Jersey, his great-grandparents, many aunts and uncles, and four cousins.
Matthew was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Patricia Fithian, and his Aunt Jennifer Adair.
He will lie in state from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday at Davidson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday evening at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1275 SW Boswell. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning, November 20th, at the church. Interment will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery.
