A private graveside service will be held Sunday, Nov. 21, in Beloit, Ks., for Joyce Dunn. Ms. Dunn died Monday, Nov. 15, 2010, at Medicalodge Gardner.
She was born June 3, 1928, the beautiful daughter of wonderful parents, Olin and Clara Scholten Walker.
Joyce was unique, special and full of love. She will be missed but lovingly remembered in return by all she touched.
She is survived by a brother; Howard Walker and wife Carrie, twin sister, Joann Jones; two daughters, Joy Poindexter and husband Dee, and Julie Surprise and husband David Berg; three grandchildren, Cheryl Beach and husband Chris, Andy Wedermyer and fiancée Lindsay, and Nate Wedermyer and wife Summer; three stepgrandchildren, Rhonda Ball, Chad Poindexter and wife Megan, and Mike Poindexter; three stepgreat-grandchildren, Cody, Mariah and Cailyn Ball; and friends and staff at Medicalodge Gardner and Hospice Care of Kansas.
Joyce respected and loved all life. In her honor, the family suggests memorials to the Lawrence Humane Society, P.O. Box 651, Lawrence, KS 66044.
