Ralph Joseph Chavez 1937 - 2010 Hialeah, Fla.
A memorial Mass for Ralph Joseph Chavez, 72, Hialeah, Fla., will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, with the Rev. Peter Jaramillo officiating.
Mr. Chavez died Sunday, May 16, 2010, at Memorial Hospital Miramar after a battle with lung cancer.
He was born Oct. 24, 1937, in Lawrence, the son of Herminia Alvarez and Francisco Chavez.
He married Cary Lopez Chavez on Aug. 22, 1970, in Miami. She survives.
Other survivors include two children, Daniel Chavez and Marilis Chavez Villaraus; three grandchildren, Cristian, Julian and Jonathan Villaraus; and 13 brothers and sisters, Trinidad Chavez, Lupe Jaramillo, Helen Martinez, John Chavez, Socorro Cordero, Mary Robles, Carmen Gomes, Isabel Gonzales, Francisco Chavez, Carlos Chavez, Vicky Reyes, Michael Chavez and Consuelo Alcala.
