A Funeral Mass for Phyllis J. Di Maio, 63, Redondo Beach, Calif., formerly of Shawnee, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Mission.
She died Wednesday, May 12, 2010, of cancer.
She was born Oct. 22, 1946, in Shawnee Mission, the eldest daughter of Anthony and Beatrice Di Maio.
She completed her degree at Kansas University and began flying for Pan American World Airways in 1969. She then moved to California, continuing to fly for Pan Am until she joined United Airlines in 1986.
Survivors include a sister, Janet Di Maio; a brother, Stephen Di Maio; and an aunt and uncle, Roger and Barbara Provost.
The family will meet friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Amos Family Chapel, 10901 Johnson Drive in Shawnee.
The family suggests memorials to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
