Betty Ann Norwood 1932 - 2010 Lawrence
Funeral services for Betty Ann Norwood, 77, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Leo Barbee Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Norwood died Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kansas City, Mo.
She was born July 28, 1932, in Manhattan, the daughter of Lawrence and Lottie Mae White.
Mrs. Norwood was raised in Arkansas City and graduated from Arkansas City High School in 1951. She graduated from Cowley Community College in 1953. She moved to Wichita in 1956 and to Lawrence in 1977.
She was a member of Victory Bible Church and volunteered at LINK for many years.
She married Lafayette Norwood on April 24, 1954, in Arkansas City. He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include a daughter, Fayetta Norwood, Nashville, Tenn.; two sons, Cory and Seth Norwood, both of Lawrence; a brother, Charles George, Hebron, Wis.; and four grandchildren, Alexius, Akeshia, Ashlyn and Janae Norwood.
Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. today at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
