Stella Louise Jackson 1948 - 2010 Ottawa
Ottawa — A funeral Mass for Stella Louise Jackson, 61, Ottawa, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Church in Ottawa. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Ottawa.
She died Sunday, May 2, 2010.
She was born Saturday, Dec. 4, 1948, in Ottawa, the daughter of Luis Munoz and Mary Madelyn Cruces Vega.
She was a lifelong resident of Ottawa. She attended Ottawa schools, later earning her GED.
Mrs. Jackson was employed by Hallmark Cards for 32 years as a machine operator, retiring Dec. 31, 2001.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Ottawa.
She married Kevin W. Jackson on Feb. 2, 1968, in Olathe. He survives, of their home.
Other survivors include her father; a daughter, Cherie Louise Tucker, Ottawa; three sisters, Rosalind Flores, El Centro, Calif., Patricia Ann Shenk, Ottawa, and Sara Vega, Ottawa; a brother, Richard Vega, Lawrence; and six grandchildren, Ariel, Alex and Avery Tucker, Brandi and Keith Crooks, and Shyann Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her mother; a son, Kevin W. Jackson Jr.; and a brother, Salvador Vega.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa, where a rosary will be said at 6 p.m. Thursday, after which the family will meet friends from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Cremation will follow the visitation.
