Mary Lou Shepard Ray 1951 - 2010 Rock Springs, Wyo.
A celebration of life for Mary Lou Shepard Ray, 59, Rock Springs, Wyo., will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Wayne & Larry’s Sports Bar & Grill in Lawrence.
Mrs. Ray died Sunday, May 2, 2010, in Overland Park.
She was born Feb. 10, 1951, in Shawnee, the daughter of Richard and Doris Bell.
Mrs. Ray graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School.
She was a florist at Dillons in Lawrence, Lawrence Floral Shop and Gardner Floral.
She married Roger Borland. He preceded her in death. She later married Harold Shepard. They divorced. She then married John Ray Jr. He survives.
Other survivors include her father, Bonner Springs; two sons, Ben Borland and Travis Shepard, two daughters, Sherry Chaney and Shelly Borland, and a stepson, Steffan Ray, all of Lawrence; eight grandchildren, Ryan Chaney, Tanner Chaney, Hunter Chaney, Jake Lester, Kameron Teehee, Austyn Borland, Natalee Shepard and Damien Shepard; one great-grandchild, Rylie Chaney; and three sisters, Dottie, Butler, Annie, Olsburg, and Netta, Overland Park.
She was also preceded in death by her mother and a brother, Richard Bell Jr.
