Paul D. Oelschlaeger

Funeral services for Paul D. Oelschlaeger, 86, Eudora, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Eudora United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Eudora Cemetery.
Mr. Oelschlaeger died Friday, March 19, 2010, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He was born Dec. 4, 1923, in Linwood, the son of Charles E. and Essie Florence Pouppirt Oelschlaeger.
Mr. Oelschlaeger served during World War II in the U.S. Army as a tech sergeant. He worked as a carpenter and machinist, and owned and operated several local businesses.
He was a member of the Eudora United Methodist Church and the Odd Fellows Lodge.
He married Doris F. Babcock on Oct. 20, 1947, in Tonganoxie. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include two daughters, Delores Votaw and husband Alan, Eudora, and Judy Crawford and husband Walter, Corpus Christi, Texas; two brothers, Melvin and wife Fay, Branson, Mo., and Vernon and wife Edith, Lawrence; six grandchildren, Darrin, Christopher, Eric, Shelley, Travis and Dustin; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Maxine Coker.
The family will greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Warren-McElwain Mortuary-Eudora Chapel.
