Martha Patterson

Graveside services for Martha “Lolita” Patterson, 89, Fresno, Calif., formerly of Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Patterson died Friday, March 12, 2010, in Fresno.
She was born June 20, 1920 in Clinton, Mo., the daughter of Ninghal S. “Soney” McManness and Lola M. Eberting McManness. She graduated in 1939 from Liberty Memorial High School, where she played second violin in the band.
She created floral arrangements for Owen’s Nursery in 1964. She was a parts auditor for King Radio, later Bendix-King, from 1973 to 1993. After her husband’s death she moved to California to be near family.
She married Marion P. “Pat” Patterson on July 27, 1948, in Colorado Springs, Colo. He died Jan. 12, 1994.
Survivors include a son, Stephen P. Patterson and wife Debbie of Olathe; a daughter, Shelley Ayres and husband Lee of Fresno, Calif., a stepdaughter, Linda Harding and husband Mike, of Olathe; two grandsons, Kevin Patterson and Brian Patterson; a former daughter-in-law, Wendy Dalquest and husband Ron; a great-granddaughter, Abby Patterson; and a great-grandson, Dylan Patterson.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
