Doris J. Bryan

A Memorial Mass for Doris J. Bryan, 73, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Private inurnment will be at a later date.
Mrs. Bryan died Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at Midland Hospice House, Topeka.
She was born Oct. 17, 1936, in Lawrence, the daughter of Karl E. and Hazel Emery Romstedt.
Mrs. Bryan attended Kansas University. She was a former bookkeeper at Cottonwood Inc. in Lawrence and had previously worked as a school secretary at India-Kaw Valley School in Lawrence, and as a clerk in the children’s department at Weaver’s Department Store. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
She married Richard L. Bryan on Oct. 9, 1952, in Harrisonville, Mo. He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include three daughters, Pamela S. Leinwetter and husband Larry, Nancy Peterson and husband Rob, and Diana Beitz and husband Steve, all of Topeka; a sister, Elloise Whitacre, Excelsior Springs, Mo.; five grandchildren, Lee, Laura and Bryan Leinwetter, Pete Peterson and Kaya Beitz; and two great-grandchildren, Anderson and Adrianna Leinwetter.
The family will meet friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at the church, with a closing vigil at 8:15 p.m.
