Delora Jane Edmonds 1957 - 2010 Lawrence

Funeral services for Delora Jane “Janie” Edmonds, 53, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Edmonds died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan. 28, 1957, in Lawrence, the daughter of Dick Cool and Edith Kester. She attended Lawrence schools.
She was an in-home child care provider for many years. She continued to keep in contact with many of the children she cared for. She was a loving, caring and giving person who loved spending time with her grandchildren and playing the lottery.
She married Mark Edmonds Sr. on Oct. 5, 1975. He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include three sons, Mark Edmonds Jr. and wife Charly, Dennis Edmonds and wife Sarah, and Jesse Edmonds; one daughter, McKenzie Edmonds; and five grandchildren, Hailey, Peirce, Rylan, Brady and Brandt; two brothers, Joe Cool and Mark Cool; three sisters, Sandy Wilks, Susie Curtis, and Becky Leslie; two stepbrothers, Shirley Kester and John Kester; and one stepsister, Marjorie Hess.
She was proceeded in death by her parents and one brother, Walter Cool.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
