Constance "Connee" E. Breyley 1944 - 2010 Lawrence
Memorial service for Constance “Connee” E. Breyley, 66, Lawrence, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
Mrs. Breyley died Sunday, June 6, 2010, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 6, 1944, in Clay Center, the daughter of Melvin and Mary Walters Stoll.
Mrs. Breyley grew up on a family farm in Greenleaf, where she attended grade school. She graduated from Marysville High School. During high school she was a scholar in foreign languages including French and Latin. Mrs. Breyley was also a member of the Pep Squad. She attended Kansas University and earned an advanced degree in Russian literature.
Mrs. Breyley was an associate professor at KU.
She enjoyed cooking in her later years and the Saturday Farmers’ Market.
She met Tom Breyley during college. They later married and spent 45 years together.
The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association-Go Red for Women, sent in care of the mortuary, 120 W. 13th St., Lawrence, KS 66044.
