Dorothy B. Williams Des Moines, Iowa
Services for Dorothy B. Williams, 95, Des Moines, IA, will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Williams died Sunday, June 6, 2010, at Wesley Acres Retirement Home.
Dorothy was born and educated in Lawrence, Kansas, the daughter of Julius C. and Hattie Eck Beurman. She married Carl E. Williams, who preceded her in death in 1982. Family and friends were her greatest joy, and she spent her life taking care of those she loved. She will be remembered for many things, including her delicious cooking, faithful letter writing, love of cats and her appreciation of a good nap.
She is survived by daughters Nancy Stugart of Round Rock, TX, and Patricia Rawson of Des Moines, IA; grandchildren Robert (Lori) and Michael Hartman of Round Rock, Katie Yarber (Kirk) of Indianapolis, IN, and Wendy Rawson of Columbus, OH; and great-grandchildren Gabriel, Drew and Graham.
