Kristin R. Holm Ely

Topeka — Memorial ceremonies for Kristin R. Holm Ely, 34, Lecompton, formerly of Topeka, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka. Private inurnment will be at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Topeka, at a later date. Mrs. Ely was cremated.
Mrs. Ely died Thursday, July 22, 2010.
She was born Oct. 5, 1975, in Wichita, the daughter of Randy and Andrea Bertrand Holm. She was a previous resident of Little Elm, Texas.
She was a 1994 graduate of Topeka West High School and 2000 graduate of Washburn University, magna cum laude with honors in business administration. She was employed by H&R Block. She was a volunteer for the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Frisco, Texas.
She married Tim Ely Jr. on Aug. 7, 1999. He survives.
Other survivors include her children, Kaitlyn and Eric Ely; her parents, Randy and wife Becky Holm, Lecompton, and Andrea Sage and husband Don, Topeka; a brother, Philip Holm, Topeka; maternal grandparents, Lafe and Anita Bertrand, Clay Center; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and stepsiblings.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Charles and Norma Holm, Topeka.
The family suggests memorials to Kristin Ely Children’s Trust Fund, sent in care of CoreFirst Bank, 3035 SW Topeka Blvd., Topeka, KS 66611, ASPCA, or the donor’s local humane society.
