Reta M. Wilson Jacobs

Graveside services for Reta M. Wilson Jacobs, 88, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lawrence.
She died Sunday, July 11, 2010, at her home.
She was born May 22, 1922, in Lawrence, the daughter of Clarence E. and Della Mae Hatch Wilson.
Mrs. Jacobs was a homemaker and worked at the Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services office for 20 years.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Order of the White Shrine. Mrs. Jacobs also attended North Lawrence Christian Church.
She married Arthur R. “Jake” Jacobs on June 12, 1941, in Lawrence. He preceded her in death March 4, 1994.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Wilson and Ruth Phillips.
Survivors include a son, Earl “Ed” Jacobs and wife Sonja, Lawrence; two daughters, Linda Helton and husband Myrl, and Connie Kesinger and husband Kevin, all of Lawrence; a brother, Wiley Wilson and wife Marie, Lawrence; seven grandchildren, Angela Strum, Clint Breithaupt, Lisa Jones, Mark Jacobs, Lori Fowler, Kyle Kesinger and Casey Kesinger; 11 great-grandchildren, Delaney Blessing, Madison Fowler, Zach Breithaupt, Jacob Strum, Mason Fowler, Ethan Jacobs, Mayte Breithaupt, Rosie Strum, J.T. Jones, Aidan Jacobs and Saida Jacobs; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will greet friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
The family suggests memorials to Douglas County Visiting Nurses, Rehabilitation and Hospice Care, sent in care of the mortuary, 120 W. 13th St., Lawrence, KS 66044.
