Ruth M. Harrell

Funeral services for Ruth M. Harrell, 85, Plano, Texas, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Jennifer Renema officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Harrell died Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at Arden Courts of Richardson in Richardson, Texas.
She was born May 2, 1925, in Giddings, Texas, the daughter of Albert O. and Clara Gruetzner Mann.
Mrs. Harrell worked in the Central Junior High School cafeteria and later as a bookkeeper for Douglas County Bank, where she retired. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its WELCA group, and volunteered in the church office.
She moved to Plano, Texas, in 1982 and worked at Plano Bank & Trust before returning to Lawrence in 1987. She moved back to Plano in 2005 to be closer to family and joined Christ the Servant Lutheran Church in Allen, Texas. She enjoyed raising her children and spending time with family.
She married Warren B. Harrell Sr. He died June 5, 1974. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy White.
Survivors include a son, Warren Harrell Jr. and wife Pam, Raleigh, N.C.; a daughter, Pat Bush and husband Ted, Plano; a sister, Frances Huber and husband Al, Hot Springs Village, Ark.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Monday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, where the family will receive them from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
