Guy L. Bradley

A memorial service for Guy L. (Clough) Bradley, 62, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Grantville United Methodist Church.
Mr. Bradley died Monday, Jan. 25, 2010, at St. Francis Health Center in Topeka. Inurnment will be at a later date in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Emporia.
He was born Jan. 2, 1948, in St. Louis, the son of Edward Alexander and Doris Millard Bradley.
He graduated from Atchison High School. He received a bachelor’s degree from Emporia State University. He was a debate champion at both schools. He worked for the railroad during high school.
Mr. Bradley was a lobbyist. He worked for U.S. Rep. Joe Skubitz, of the 5th District, and U.S. Sen. Nancy Kassebaum. He was senior vice president for Air Transport Association. He was an active member of Grantville United Methodist Church, where he served on the Pastor Parish Relations Committee.
He was a member of a speech group, a Kansas Club in Washington, American Legion Dorsey-Liberty Post 14 and the Lawrence Panera Board of Directors.
He married Deanna Morton on Aug. 21, 1970, in Emporia. She survives, of the home.
Survivors include two sons, Brian and wife Barbara, Fairfax County, Va., Bradley and wife Meridith, Venice, Fla.; an adopted son, John Neill, Lawrence; two brothers, Victor Clough and wife Elise, Urbanna, Va., and Forrest Clough and wife Sandy, Tyrone, Ga.; a sister, Susie Brooks, Monroe, Ga.; two brothers-in-law, Robert Morton and wife Pat, Emporia, and Dean Morton and wife Kay, La Crosse, Wis.; and many nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials to Guy Bradley Memorial Fund or Lawrence Humane Society, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th St., Lawrence, KS 66044.
