Moreland Baldwin

Funeral services for Moreland Baldwin, 85, Clinton, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, 601 Ind. Burial will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
Mr. Baldwin died Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, at his home.
He was born Aug. 20, 1924, in Clinton, the son of Fred and Theresa Murphy Baldwin.
He attended Lawrence public schools, graduating from Liberty Memorial High School in 1941.
Mr. Baldwin was a lifelong farmer. He and his partner owned and operated Lawrence Implement for many years, selling it in 1969, and worked for the Kansas Highway Department, retiring in 1986.
He married Dorothy Votaw on May 23, 1948, in Eudora. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Jim and wife Jerri, Clinton; and two grandchildren, Loren and Donald.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Lindsey, in 1989; and two sisters, Rose Baldwin and Louise Hornberger.
Friends may call at the funeral home from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until services Wednesday.
The family suggests memorials to Douglas County Visiting Nurses Association and Hospice Care.
