Ruth Magee Schiefelbusch

Memorial services for Ruth Magee Schiefelbusch, 89, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Plymouth Congregational Church in Lawrence.
She died Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, at Lawrence Presbyterian Manor.
She was born June 11, 1920, in Deaver, Wyo., the daughter of Dr. James Darwin and June Reed Magee.
Mrs. Schiefelbusch worked as a speech therapist for the Lawrence school district. She was a secretary and board member of Douglas County Senior Services.
She enjoyed her volunteer work at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Meals on Wheels, and for other organizations and clubs. She was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church, where she was involved in the women’s groups and Stephen Ministries.
She married Richard Schiefelbusch on Sept. 20, 1941, in Elko, Nev. He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include two daughters, Carol McMillin and husband Dan, Topeka, and Jeanie Schiefel-busch and husband Gary Fenton, Prairie Village; a son, Larry Schiefelbusch and wife Rhonda, Chesterton, Ind.; a sister, Mickey Rogers, Sun City, Ariz.; six grandchildren; one stepgrandson; four great-grandchildren; and one stepgreat-grandson.
The family will greet friends following the service at the church.
