Lloyd Franklin Reynolds, age 79, of Baldwin City, KS, passed away Friday, February 19, 2010, at Wellsville Retirement Community. He was born on November 19, 1930, in Lawrence, KS, the son of Sadie (White) and Ray Reynolds.
After a 20 year Navy career, Lloyd married Donna Rockhold on March 7, 1969, at her parent’s home. In addition to his naval career Lloyd also worked for the Douglas County Maintenance Department and retired from Farmland Industries. Lloyd received the following Navy Unit Commendations: Vietnam Service Medal; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; and the National Defense Service Medal. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association.
Survivors include his wife, Donna; and brother, Gordon Reynolds of Eudora, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Newton Reynolds.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at 3 PM at Oakwood Cemetery, Baldwin City, KS. Visitation will be held Monday from 6:00–7:30 PM at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home in Baldwin City.
