Noah M. Mann

Funeral services for Noah M. Mann, 37, Baldwin City, will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Ottawa University Chapel, 1001 S. Cedar St. Burial will be in Wellsville Cemetery in Wellsville.
Mr. Mann died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010, at his residence in rural Baldwin City.
He was born Feb. 12, 1973, in Lawrence, the son of Ron Mann and Sherry Covert Van Buren.
He grew up in the Kansas City area, in Grandview and Parkville, Mo., and later lived in Ottawa and Lawrence. He moved to Baldwin City in 1993.
Mr. Mann graduated from Ottawa High School in 1991, and attended Butler County Community College and Ottawa University. For the past 15 years, he was a driver for United Parcel Service.
He attended New Life Church in Kansas City. He was a sports fan, especially of KU athletics.
He enjoyed coaching, fishing, gardening, building and cooking. He enjoyed spending time with his family and at UPS.
He married Melissa Johnson on July 15, 2006, in Baldwin City. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include his father and stepmother, Ron and Susie Mann, North Richland Hills, Texas; his mother and stepfather, Sherry and Dub Van Buren, Basehor; two sons, Carter and Caleb; three stepsons, Caleb, Kyle and Carson Powelson; a sister, Melissa Mann, Gladstone, Mo.; a paternal grandmother, Gloria Mann, Lawrence; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a maternal grandmother, Earline Clark; and a paternal grandfather, M.E. Mann.
The family suggests memorials to Noah Mann Educational Trust Fund, sent in care of Wellsville Bank, 112 W. Sixth St., Wellsville, KS 66092, or the Noah Mann Children’s Fund, care of Kansas State Bank, 236 N. Main St., Ottawa, KS 66067.
