Fort Worth, Texas — A memorial Mass will be scheduled in March for Daniel J. “Tucker” Blewitt, 60, Fort Worth. Inurnment will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Lawrence, Kan.
Mr. Blewitt died Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010, at the James L. West Center in Fort Worth. He had brain cancer.
He was born July 2, 1949, in Topeka. He grew up in Lawrence and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1967.
Mr. Blewitt attended two years at the Clark’s School of Business in Topeka. He was a senior tax analyst for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway in Fort Worth for 41 years.
Mr. Blewitt was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.
Survivors include a brother, Tim Ryan, Sandy, Utah; two sisters, Teri Oberzan Hatfield, Lawrence, and Toasti Racy, Abilene; and 10 nieces and nephews, Michael Racy, Raelyn Whitehair, Brett Oberzan, Kelly Jones, Kim Funston, Todd Oberzan, Kip Racy, Meghan Oberzan, Shea Ryan and Alli Ryan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece, Matilyn Ryan.
The family suggests memorials to the Community Hospice of Texas, sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th St., Lawrence, KS 66044.
