Wilma Aileen Alter Weinberg

Funeral services for Wilma Aileen Alter Weinberg, 91, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel in Coffeyville. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville.
Mrs. Weinberg died Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at Brandon Woods at Alvamar.
She was born Oct. 7, 1918, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Max and Ann Cohen Alter.
She worked in the family business, Weinberg’s Western Wear in Coffeyville, and was also a mother and homemaker. She was well-known in the community as “Willie,” and was popular as a bridge partner.
She married Maurice Weinberg on Feb. 11, 1940, in Coffeyville. He preceded her in death Jan. 1, 2005.
Survivors include three sons, Jeff Weinberg and wife Mary, Lawrence, Thomas Weinberg, Haiku, Hawaii, and Michael Weinberg, Grove, Okla.; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Weinberg Gualtieri, Jennifer Weinberg, Sam Weinberg and Marsha Thomas; and one great-granddaughter, Annabell Thomas.
The family suggests memorials to the Maurice Weinberg Memorial Scholarship fund at Coffeyville Community College, 400 W. 11th St., Coffeyville, KS 67337.
