Jeanne A. Boucher

Funeral services for Jeanne A. Boucher, 69, Lecompton, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Big Springs United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery in Big Springs.
Mrs. Boucher died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, at her home.
She was born July 13, 1940, in Ellis County, the daughter of Miles Adrian and Ruth Maxine McCauley Warren. She graduated from Palco High School.
She worked as Jefferson County Deputy Treasurer and as a bookkeeper for the Westheifer Company in Lawrence.
She also served as volunteer treasurer for Lecompton Fire and Rescue, a volunteer for the Oskaloosa Fire Department, and was a volunteer for the Douglas County Amateur Baseball Association and Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She also served on the school board of USD 341 in Oskaloosa.
She married LeRoy Anthony Boucher on Feb. 7, 1959, in Zurich, Kan. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Michael Alan Boucher, Topeka, and Anthony “Tony” Boucher, Oskaloosa; a daughter, Kimberly J. Boucher, Lecompton; one brother, Jackie M. Warren, Plainville; two sisters, Patricia Wendling and Helen Keller-Davis, both of Palco; two stepbrothers, Avery D. Ouderkirk Jr., Osawatomie, and Wendell Ouderkirk, Sallisaw, Okla.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will meet friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Lawrence Funeral Chapel.
The family suggests memorials to Douglas County Visiting Nurses, Rehabilitation and Hospice, sent in care of the funeral home at 3821 W. Sixth St., Lawrence, KS 66049.
