Fae Ann Anderson 1923 - 2010 Baldwin City
Funeral services for Fae Ann Anderson, 86, Baldwin City, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Anderson died Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at Baldwin Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Sept. 9, 1923, in Linwood, the daughter of Jack and Gladys Mock Everley. She attended schools in Linwood.
Mrs. Anderson and her husband were co-owners of Anderson Trucking and Excavating. She was a member of The 23 Club, the Palmyra Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and of Baldwin Extension Homemakers Unit. She also volunteered at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She married Paul Richard Anderson on June 21, 1941, in Oskaloosa. He died Dec. 8, 2003.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Jack Everley, and two sisters, Marilyn Broyles and Donna Shirk.
Survivors include a son, Richard E. Anderson and wife Anita, Baldwin City; two daughters, Phyllis Ann Norris and husband Darrell, and Vicki Lynn Anderson, all of Baldwin City; six grandchildren, Kimberly Farmer, Melissa Howard, Douglas Norris, Nathan Lang, and Aaron and Amanda Anderson; eight great-grandchildren, Caleb and Colby Soden, Gunnar, Halle, and Carlee Norris, Lauren and Emily Ann Howard, and Elijah Anderson; and two stepgreat-grandchildren, Matt and Travis Farmer.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home, where the family will receive them from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The family suggests memorials to Heart of America Hospice, in care of the funeral home, 601 Ind., Lawrence, KS 66044.
