Carol June Harper Brown 1946 - 2010 Lawrence
Graveside services for Carol June Harper Brown, 64, Lawrence, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Paul Taylor officiating.
Mrs. Brown died Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 8, 1946, in Lawrence, the daughter of Irvin Dale and Irene Mae Silvers Harper. She attended school in Lawrence.
Mrs. Brown was a homemaker. She enjoyed shopping, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She married David L. Brown on May 18, 1962, in Oskaloosa. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include three daughters, Jeanette Reiling, Carol Spiker and husband Randall, and Amy Rinke, all of Lawrence; a brother, Robert Harper, Lawrence; two sisters, Violet Ray, Topeka, and Rebecca Watts, Lawrence; and four grandchildren, Eric Allen, Chase Reiling, and Emily and Scott Rinke.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Doris Ashworth.
Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, where the family will receive them from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The family suggests memorials to the American Lung Association, sent in care of the funeral home, 601 Ind., Lawrence, KS, 66044.
