Deborah Melton

Deborah Lou Melton (formerly Debbie Taul), 61, of Gardner, died Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Olathe Medical Center after a short fight against colon cancer.
Born in Colby, Kansas, August 3, 1949, to Wallace Jefferson and Beverly (Hills) Melton, Deborah was an incredible Mother, caregiver and friend.
She possessed great warmth and a sunny disposition that drew people to her. Generous, kind and loving, Deborah sought to take care of people and animals too. She opened her heart and her home to many who came to affectionately know her as Mama D.
Deborah is survived by her three loving daughters, Kelly Taul, Wylie Taul and Baylee Teagarden, as well as her son-in-law Scott Teagarden and grandson Wesley Joe Teagarden all of Gardner, Kansas. She leaves behind many wonderful and supportive family members and friends who will miss her strength and exuberance.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. December 18, 2010 at Ives Chapel Church in Baldwin. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Susan Cohan Kasdas Colon Cancer Foundation at www.coloncancerfoundation.org/donations.htm.
