Patricia Ann Campbell

A Celebration of Life service for Patricia Ann “Patty” Campbell, 57, Lawrence, formerly of Eudora, will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, with Tim O’Byrne officiating. Private inurnment will be at a later date in Oak Hill Cemetery. Cremation is planned.
Ms. Campbell died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, at her home.
She was born July 15, 1953, in Lawrence, the daughter of Nelson and Loeta McMullen Tingle. She attended grade school in Lawrence and graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1971.
Ms. Campbell lived and worked on the RC Campbell Ranch in Eudora, tending cattle and raising her children. She also worked at Hallmark Cards, and later as a custodian at Kansas University, retiring in 2007. She enjoyed camping, fishing, water skiing, Jet Skiing and driving fast in her red Camaro.
She married Ramon C. Campbell on Feb. 6, 1971, in Leavenworth. They divorced in 1989.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Survivors include a son, Curtis Campbell and wife Janniece, Lawrence; a daughter, Cynthia Teter and husband Brent, Holton; two sisters, Evelyn Hardy and Carol Berg Meiners and husband Dave, all of Lawrence; three grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends following the service.
The family suggests memorials to the Lawrence Humane Society or Midland Hospice, sent in care of the funeral home, 601 Ind., Lawrence, KS 66044.
