Earl "Butch" Silvers 1946 - 2010 Perry

Graveside services for Earl “Butch” Silvers, 63, Perry will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Maple Grove Cemetery, Lawrence.
Mr. Silvers died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, at his home.
He was born Aug. 23, 1946, in Lawrence, the son of Charles and Opal Cobb Silvers. He grew up in Lawrence and California.
He moved back to Lawrence as a young man, and went to work for the city of Lawrence in the Street Department. He retired after many years as a street superintendent due to an accident.
He married Cynthia Caldwell in 1967. They divorced in 1989; she survives of Tonganoxie.
Survivors include his wife, Twila Gayle King Silvers, of the home; a daughter, Stephanie Silvers, Eudora; two granddaughters, Savanna and Tequila Ray, of Eudora; and a sister, Hazel Barber of Barstow, Calif.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Elaine Silvers, in April 1970.
Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
