Donald D. Goering
A committal service for Dr. Donald D. Goering, 79, Moundridge, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Salina, followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. at Eden Mennonite Church, rural Moundridge.
Dr. Goering died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010, at the Memorial Home in Moundridge.
He was born Feb. 13, 1931, in McPherson, the son of Jonathan J. and Katherina Zerger Goering.
Dr. Goering was a family physician serving the communities of Tribune, Salina and Coldwater.
He married Loua Mae Rigg on Dec. 28, 1955. She preceded him in death July 18, 1975. He married Mary Cross on July 30, 1994. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Donna Goering, Chicago, and Debbie Turner and husband Chris, Lawrence; a stepson, Jonathan Cross and Sarah Sutherland, Saskatchewan, Canada; four brothers, Harvey, Gainesville, Fla., Emil, Topeka, Marlo, Wichita, and Clyde and wife Felice, Moundridge; a sister, Marjorie Stucky and husband Marvin, Moundridge; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Moundridge Funeral Home, where the family will meet them from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
